She was very defensive if a person was to walk towards her mom when her mom was scared.She is learning to trust and has been integrated into a group with more social dogs to help her learn to trust better.More than likely Whiskey will always be a protective/defensive dog. She will become your best friend and your children's best friend, but she will defend if she feels she must.Her mom is doing fine. She is in a foster home to learn to trust and not shut down in corners at the slightest noise.Whiskey is a youngster who has seen things no puppy should see. We can only guess what happened. We do know that if Whiskey and her mom were in a run together and you walked towards them Whiskey would defend her mom. We do know that if a loud sound is made the mom will dive for cover. These are issues that the dogs will overcome, but because of Whiskey's young age she may always have a protective instinct. Whiskey is a lovable dog, she loves to be petted, she gives kisses and will try to climb on your lap on a couch. Whiskey loves walks and is good with other dogs. She's young, around 10 months to a year old. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and is ready for adoption. Autumn Acres is a 501c3 non profit state licensed animal rescue.
