Amber is a super sweet Newfie girl. We believe she almost 4 years old. Amber was previously adopted by a young woman. Her owner was working long hours and could not give Amber the attention she needed. Amber loves everyone she meets, especially children. She is very good with other dogs (not sue about cats). Amber is a very devoted companion and loves to be with her people. She gets anxious and may bark if left for LONG periods of time. She needs to be an inside dog. The ideal home for Amber would be one in which there are children and someone who works only part time or works at home. Amber is very good on a leash and enjoys walks. She also enjoys her naps. She is a happy, healthy girl with a thick,gorgeous coat that will require regular grooming. Amber is black, and has lovely grayish white feathers on her legs and chest. Amber needs to shed about 10 lbs, as she weighs in at 120lbs. She has already lost a few pounds and will be on Newfie 'Weight Watchers' until she is slim and trim. Adopting an adult Newfie is perfect for those who have longed to have a Newfoundland, but would be first time owners. All Newfoundlands are wonderful, but come into their own by age three to four. They are housebroken-playful yet laid back and just generally wonderful companions. Amber has been fully vetted,spayed and groomed. She is on monthly heartgardand frontline as well.
