Brody just came to us as an owner surrender. His former owner found himself having to work very long hours and did not have the time to devote to Brody. Brody is a 15 month old male Newfoundland. He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots and preventatives. Brody was just neutered 2 weeks ago, so he is still a big bag of hormones. Brody is being fostered in the Chicago area. We are accepting applications on him, though he needs a bit more time to settle in so that we may properly evaluate him. Brody received very little socialization and training as a pup, so he will need training and an owner who is firm and consistent. Brody seems to be a somewhat dominant male (though this may change since he was just recently neutered). He has been fine with the other dogs in his foster home. He does try to test his boundaries, but listens well to corrections. Brody has bonded quickly with his foster mom. He seems to have some separation anxiety since he was left alone so much, but is already getting better.December 28, 2010, 1:16 pm
