Chief – Socially Imperfect Resident

Hi! My Name Is Chief – Socially Imperfect Resident

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon
Special Needs: Blind

Chief is one of our Socially Imperfect Residents. He was pulled from a shelter with his eye dangling out of his head. That shelter had still put him in a cage with puppies even though he had a horrific injury. :( Poor fellow!

He had his eye removed and we gave him time to settle in and heal. We found out that he had some handling issues and trust issues. He didn't handle meeting new people well and adoption events were not working out either for him.

He's a senior boy and he is in our small dog area. He has his own recliner chair and gets loved on by the volunteers. He is available for adoption, but he's also safe to stay with us for as long as he has left. He is not housebroken. He will snap/bite at times. He's ok with dogs but gets possessive over his chair, his people, his food...you know...typical Chihuahua stuff :)
