Karina came to us from the Kansas City shelter back in 2012. They had her on the euthanasia list because of her fear, her anxiety, and her stressed issues around people.
She had many issues to worth thru when we first got her. We made amazing progress with her and she was doing GREAT...and then she tried to go after a human being :( Karina was stressed but it was someone she'd been working with before.
At that point we knew we couldn't place her for adoption and the decision had to be made...do we let her live or do we put her down.
When you meet Karina she's all wiggles and love. She rolls over for belly rubs, she gets super excited, and adores attention. But, there are times when she's not herself. Most of those times are when she's stressed or when she's nervous. We can't place her, but we can try to keep her happy, safe, and keep all of us safe at the same time.
Karina loves treats, loves toys, and loves her Kuranda bed.
When we make a commitment to an animal it's for life. We believe each individual animal matters and we try to do what's best for that individual animal. We couldn't put Karina to sleep for her fear/stressed base issues. If you ever meet her, you'll see this happy go lucky dog too and you'll know why we take care of her and let her live her life.
Karina doesn't have a sponsor. Can you be her sponsor? Help us provide her with new toys and treats?
