We adopted Kudu from Chip and dales rescue. His birthday is October 20, 2020.
He is a really sweet dog but has his quirks. Kudu has some anxiety and is reactive in certain circumstances which makes him not a good fit for a house with young children (like we have).
If someone bothers him when he is sleeping he will give a warning snap 'saying back off'. He has bitten a child before and tries to bite me (Very small but it did break skin.) He recently started getting more aggressive with my 1 year old and I just can’t relax. He also has some reactivity when other dogs walk in front of our house, but he does great on a leash when passing other dogs.
We tried different medications to help him relax but we did not notice a difference. We also spent money on sending him to a trainer and unfortunately the reactivity has not improved.
He loves running and playing fetch in our fenced yard
We have dog sat our neighbors dog many times and he does great with dogs he is familiar with! I just don’t know what to do.
