1/31/09Zareefa is now being called Reefer :-) and she's been staying at A Dogs Fun Playce *816-361-7829*. Which is a doggy day care. She's doing great and gets along with all of the dogs there. She still does circles but you get used to them. She's great for baths and loves to cuddle with the other dogs when she's tired. She seems to like furry dogs. She's a very sweet little girl. She's not as destructive as some basenji's and won't destroy a blanket overnight in her crate. Her adoption fee is $200. She's boarding at A Dogs Fun Playce located in the Waldo area of KC. When she arrived you could count her ribs, see her back bone, and her hip bones were sticking out. She has gained weight and her fur has become softer than it was. She is missing a toe nail on one of her front legs. She has been vaccinated, spayed, and tested negative for heartworms. She is good with other dogs but is a Basenji and does not back down from a challenge. She's fine with cats and will walk on a leash(still needs more work but is better). She is not housetrained and will need an understanding home. She has a habit of running in circles...much like a horse when being lunged...and she does this quite often. It is usually from being kept in a cage too small that she wasn't happy in. She's gotten better about the circles but I don't think they will ever completely go away.December 28, 2010, 1:16 pm
